UPDATE – As an investigation continued, detectives obtained additional evidence that led to two additional charges against Hebron High School teacher Gloria Martinez Resendiz, 35: Improper Relationship Between Educator and Student and Sexual Assault of a Child.
On Friday, October 9, 2026, both arrest warrants were executed, and Resendiz was arraigned, with bond set at $75,000 for each additional charge.
On Sunday, September 27, 2026, a Hebron High School administrator notified the Carrollton Police Department (CPD) of concerning electronic communications between a juvenile student and Resendiz.
The student was enrolled in one of Resendiz’s classes during a prior school year but is not currently enrolled in any of her classes. CPD detectives opened an investigation and found evidence indicating an ongoing inappropriate relationship between Resendiz and the student.
As a result of the investigation, arrest warrants were obtained for the following offenses: Indecency w/ Child Sexual Contact (F2) | PC 21.11(D) and Child Grooming (F3) | PC 15.032(B).
On Tuesday, October 6, 2026, Resendiz turned herself in to the Carrollton Jail. She was subsequently transferred to the Denton County Jail.
The investigation remains ongoing, and additional charges may be filed as investigators continue to review evidence.
Because the investigation involves a juvenile, the Carrollton Police Department will not release information that could identify the student.
