Costumes, candy and family fun fill Farmers Branch Fall Fest

Posted

From superheroes and princesses to a four-legged hot dog named Fluffy Lime, costumes of all kinds were on display Saturday, Oct. 10, as families gathered at the Farmers Branch Historical Park for Fall Fest.

The family-friendly celebration featured trick-or-treating, games, a petting zoo and activities for children of all ages.

Young visitors met farm animals, tried their hands at games and collected treats from event volunteers and city staff. The Farmers Branch Police Department and Fire Department also participated in the festivities.

As the evening got darker, the characters in the haunted cemetery got spookier.

Residents and visitors found multiple fall-themed photos displays to provide backdrops for family pictures.

Bankhead Brewpub provided the beer garden, while a line-up of entertainment, including scream contests and a family mummy-wrapping game, kept the stage busy.

From costumed children exploring the petting zoo to families enjoying the evening together, Fall Fest offered a little something for everyone.
