Addison invites residents behind the scenes of town development

The Town of Addison's Development Services division is launching its first Development 101 Planning Academy, a three-session course designed to help residents understand how land use decisions are made and how they can participate in the town's development process.

The academy will introduce participants to town planning and provide practical knowledge about the decisions that shape Addison's neighborhoods and commercial areas.

Classes are tentatively scheduled for Thursdays from 6 to 8 p.m. at Addison Town Hall, 15600 Addison Road, on the following dates:

• Nov. 12, 2026

• Dec. 10, 2026

• Jan. 14, 2027

Refreshments and hearty snacks will be provided at each session.

Residents interested in participating can complete a brief online application, which takes approximately three minutes.
