Addison City Council approves next phase of Vitruvian Park development

Posted

The Addison City Council approved development plans for the next phase of Vitruvian Park, clearing the way for 708 new apartments on approximately 13.8 acres along Ponte Avenue, east of Bella Lane.

The plans, approved Oct. 14, call for the construction of two five-story apartment buildings, along with parking garages and a shared amenity center. The project is part of the larger Vitruvian Park development, which was originally approved in 2007.

The new phase will include a 6,206-square-foot amenity center featuring a fitness facility, coworking space, resident lounges, a game room and a private swimming pool. The center is also designed to serve residents of a future phase of the development.

Additional improvements will include pedestrian connections, bicycle parking and electric vehicle charging spaces, providing transportation and accessibility options within the development.

The approval follows an updated concept plan for this portion of Vitruvian Park that the town approved in 2024. The October decision advances the development from the previously approved concept toward implementation of the proposed apartment buildings and supporting amenities.

The new residential buildings will add housing to the ongoing Vitruvian Park development, which includes residential properties and public spaces within Addison.

The addition of pedestrian connections and bicycle parking is intended to support movement throughout the development, while the shared amenity center will provide recreational and gathering spaces for residents.

The approved plans establish the layout and amenities for this phase of the project. The town's announcement did not specify a construction start date or anticipated completion timeline.
