Women's Business Forum explores state of education

Julie Carey, business development coordinator for Ascend Institute at Dallas College, discusses how the institute can help local businesses, from manufacturers to single-employee start-ups, educate their employees in the skills needed to run their businesses effectively. William Smith High School CTE instructor describes the International Business Academy at the high school and how students can receive certifications in QuickBooks and tax assisting and be ready to help employers as soon as they graduate. He also said he is looking for employers to intern students so students can gain a vision of different opportunities after graduation.
