Rock bands Toad the Wet Sprocket, Eve 6 and Wheatus will headline this year's Festival at the Switchyard, joining a full day of free entertainment in Downtown Carrollton. This year's festival will take place on Nov. 7.
The festival's main stage lineup spans rock, country, Latin music and tribute performances, beginning with local musicians and ending with Toad the Wet Sprocket's evening performance.
Eve 6 will take the stage before the headliner, bringing hits including "Inside Out" and "Here's to the Night." Formed in 1995 in La Crescenta, California, the band released its platinum-certified self-titled debut album in 1998. After a three-year break, the group reunited in 2007 and has since released Speak in Code in 2012, Hyper Relevisation in 2022 and Dream Fist in 2024.
Wheatus will perform ahead of Eve 6. The New York-based band is best known for its 2000 hit "Teenage Dirtbag," which returned to the U.K. Top 40 charts in 2023 after finding a new audience through TikTok.
HeartByrne will transform Downtown Carrollton into a Talking Heads tribute, recreating the music of Talking Heads and David Byrne with songs including "Psycho Killer," "And She Was" and "Burning Down the House."
Country artist Bri Bagwell will return to the Festival at the Switchyard after previously performing in 2012. Based in New Braunfels, Bagwell was named Texas Female Artist of the Decade. Her 2022 album Corazon y Cabeza included the Texas chart-topping songs "Trenches" and "Hello Highway."
Dallas-based Midtown 10 will perform before Bagwell, blending live vocals and instruments with DJ-style performances featuring EDM, hip-hop and electro-pop covers.
Elias Y Su Orquesta, a 10-piece Latin band featuring musicians from Venezuela, Colombia and Ukraine, will perform songs in English and Spanish with salsa, merengue and bachata.
The day's entertainment opens with Bird Brains, a band made up of instructors from Downtown Carrollton's Lark Music Loft.
The main stage schedule includes:
Performance times are approximate and may change.
In addition to the free concerts, the Festival at the Switchyard will feature free rides and games, front-of-stage community performances, face painting, balloon twisting, a beer garden, food vendors, craft vendors and Downtown Carrollton businesses.
The festival takes place in Downtown Carrollton near Interstate 35E and Belt Line Road, adjacent to Downtown Carrollton Station on the DART Green and Silver lines. Because parking near the festival is limited, organizers encourage attendees to park at the North Carrollton/Frankford Station or Trinity Mills Station and ride DART to the event.
Organizers said sponsorship opportunities remain available for the festival, which typically draws more than 35,000 to 40,000 attendees. More information is available at carrolltonfestival.com.
