When the City of Farmers Branch announced they planned to reduce the budget by $50,000 by decreasing spraying for mosquitoes, residents were legitimately concerned about public health. Directory of Community Services Danielle Summers explained the city will still spray if a mosquito tests positive for West Nile virus, but plans to work diligently to reduce mosquito breeding grounds in the city and hopes to prevent any mosquitoes from testing positive for the virus.
