The Farmers Branch Police Department (FBPD) confirmed a shooting occurred near the Farmers Branch Historical Park the evening of May 24.
A local mother posted in several Facebook groups associated with Farmers Branch making residents aware of the incident and asking for help. The posts allege a vehicle with several individuals approached and fired shots at her minor son and his friends around 12:30 a.m. in the vicinity of Ford Road and Farmers Branch Lane. She asked if residents living near the area would check their cameras for a dark-colored Dodge Ram and provide any information to the FBPD.
The mother reported that none of the children were physically hurt but were shaken by the incident. Branch Herald attempted to reach out to the mother via Facebook, but was unable to reach her for further comments.
FBPD said the incident is still under investigation and they have no new information.
