Residents celebrate Independence Day

Planned by local resident Marta Lusk (not shown), the Farmers Branch Independence Day Walking Parade is an annual tradition that takes place along Rawhide Creek on the morning of July 4. This year's festivities included tug-of-war with some of Farmers Branch's finest, pie-eating contests and family-friendly outdoor games. Sally Derrick organized the parade for many years but recently moved from Farmers Branch.
