Peter Pan faces off against Captain Hook

Posted

With a cast of nearly 40 children, The Firehouse Theatre promises to take audiences on an adventure sprinkled with pixie dust.

Family favorite Peter Pan JR. is based on J.M. Barrie’s classic tale and directed by local theater aficionado Joanna Chabot.

“This is the largest JR production Firehouse has produced since the pandemic,” said Owen Beans, associate producer. It had nearly double the typical turnout for auditions as well.

Most of the cast is from Farmers Branch.

Peter Pan and his mischievous fairy sidekick, Tinkerbell, visit the nursery of the Darling children late one night and, with a sprinkle of pixie dust, begin a magical journey across the stars that none of them will forget. In the adventure of a lifetime, the travelers come face to face with a ticking crocodile, the fierce Brave Girls, a band of bungling pirates and, of course, the villainous Captain Hook.

Wyatt Hartz and Lola Chabot star as Peter Pan.

Actor and instructor Delaney Wenger oversees all aspects of musical elements as music director.
