To kick off the FIFA World Cup 2026, the city of Addison hosted a free four-day public watch party in Addison Circle Park.

Soccer fans and families gathered at Kick It in Addison, which featured a giant video screen, live entertainment, food trucks, bounce houses and a variety of activities to enjoy before and during games.  The event took place from June 11 to 14, and broadcasted FIFA World Cup games that began on or before 9 p.m.

Each day of the event had its own theme and corresponding experiences.

On the first day, singer-songerwriter Wade Matthew performed before the South Korea v Czechia game. On the second, Lady Liberty and Uncle Sam stilt walkers were on site with a Captain America character two hours before the U.S. v Paraguay game. On the third, a soccer ball coloring station was set up. On the fourth, origami was provided by the non-profit Paper For Water.
