Creekview High School

Fresh off of a 57-7 win against Molina, Creekview High School (4-0) looks to continue their unbeaten season against North Mesquite (1-3) on Sept. 25 at 7 p.m.

  • Quick Hits:
        • Creekview currently leads District 6-5A Division I standings.
        • Junior quarterback Cason Garcia has 976 passing yards on the season, good for #52 in the state and #1 in District 6-5A Division I.
        • Senior RB/WR Brendyn Shed leads the team with eight total touchdowns and is top three in rushing and receiving yards.
        • North Mesquite is averaging 22.3 points per game to Creekview’s 51.8.
        • North Mesquite is coming off of a 48-13 loss to rival West Mesquite.

R.L. Turner High School

The R.L. Turner Lions (2-1) look to rebound after a bye week following their homecoming loss to W.T. White. They will take on Bryan Adams (1-3) on Sept. 25 at 7:15 p.m.

  • Quick Hits
        • Turner currently sits at 2-1, their best start to a season since 2016.
        • The Lions currently average 217.7 rushing yards per game.
        • Sophomore RB/LB Lorenzo Armijo is first in District 6-5A Division I in tackles per game at 9.3 and second in tackles with 28. 
        • Bryan Adams sophomore OLB Zavron Elmore is first with 34.
        • The winner would take over sixth place in District 6-5A Division I.

Newman Smith High School

Newman Smith (1-2) is coming off of a 69-0 win over Sunset, their first of the year. They will take on Molina (0-4) on Sept. 26 at 7 p.m.

  • Quick Hits
        • Senior wide receiver Caleb Belt leads the team with 69 reception yards per game.
        • Senior quarterback Axel Lofstrand is third in passing yards in District 6-5A Division I.
        • Molina averages 6.8 points a game compared to Smith’s 28.3.
        • A win would put Smith in a firm position for tops in District 6-5A Division I.

Ranchview High School

The Ranchview Wolves (1-2) play their final game before commencing district play against Bridgeport (1-2) on Sept. 25 at 7 p.m.

  • Quick Hits
      • Senior two-way player Jaishawn Williams is leading the team with 100 receiving yards per game and four total touchdowns.
      • Junior two-way player Jamari Williams is first in 4A-1 Region II District 6 and tenth in Region II with three interceptions.
      • Junior quarterback Rushil Allada is second in 4A-1 Region II District 6 with 669 passing yards.
      • Both teams like to score high with Ranchview averaging 38.3 points per game and Bridgeport averaging 40.3 points per game.
