The Farmers Branch Police Department (FBPD) has been busy removing drugs from the streets.

On Tuesday, June 11, FBPD served a narcotics search warrant to 13408 Shahan Dr.

According to the department’s Criminal Investigation Division, five people at the home were detained with three arrested and booked into the Farmers Branch City Jail on felony drug charges. The department has provided no further information, and an open records request by the Branch Herald is pending.

According to the FBPD Facebook page, officers responded to a call for public intoxication on Monday, June 10, where “an individual was causing a scene.”

When the officers searched the person as part of the arrest, they found a bag of M30 pills which, according to the National Institutes of Health, are fentanyl-contaminated oxycodone pills. In searching the perpetrator’s truck, they discovered seven more bags and a bundle of cash.

The seized pills weighed 855 grams and tested positive for fentanyl.

Finally, early in the morning of Tuesday, June 4, two FBPD officers were dispatched to a noise complaint, also according to the FBPD Facebook page.

When they arrived on the scene, they found two males in a vehicle and detected the odor of marijuana. During a probable-cause search of the vehicle, they found a backpack with 490 grams of marijuana with baggies and scales. They discovered a handgun under the driver’s seat.
