After closing Friday evening’s executive session to discuss the city’s contract with The Firehouse Theatre, Mayor Terry Lynne announced no action was to be taken and allowed City Councilmember Omar Roman to make a formal statement on behalf of the Farmers Branch City Council.
Lynne described the statement as “very good news.”
“As a result of the executive session, we recognize there are opportunities to better communicate with our business partners like The Firehouse Theater and, so as a result, we would like to give direction for our city manager to rescind the termination letter as well as give direction to our city manager to finalize the facility use agreement with the deadline of Sept. 17, 2024,” Roman read.
Lynne adjourned the meeting at 8:01 p.m.
