Cheesesteak House combines school supply drive with free haircuts

Families can help local students prepare for the new school year while enjoying a meal during Cheesesteak House's Back to School Fundraiser Drive on Saturday, Aug. 1.

The Farmers Branch restaurant is collecting new backpacks and school supplies throughout the day. Anyone who donates a new backpack or school supplies will receive a $5 voucher to use toward a future purchase.

In addition to the supply drive, Cheesesteak House will offer free boys' haircuts from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Haircuts will be available while time slots and supplies last.

Organizers said every donated backpack and school supply helps local students begin the school year with the tools they need and the confidence to succeed.

The event will take place at Cheesesteak House, 12860 Josey Lane in Farmers Branch.

Residents who are unable to donate are encouraged to help by sharing information about the event with friends, neighbors and family.
