Your trusted source for community news
This week, the Branch Herald reached 800 newsletter subscribers.
When I started the Branch Herald, I wasn't sure how many people would care about truly local news. Today, 800 people have invited us into their inboxes to stay informed about what's happening in Farmers Branch, Addison and Carrollton.
Thank you for your trust, your story tips, your encouragement, your corrections when we get something wrong and your willingness to support local journalism.
Because of you, we've been able to expand our coverage beyond Farmers Branch and continue growing our reporting in Addison and Carrollton. I'm excited about what comes next as we work to provide more local news, more accountability reporting and more stories that connect our communities and remind us that we are neighbors.
Local journalism only exists when a community chooses to support it, share it and read it.
If you find value in the Branch Herald, please consider forwarding this newsletter to a friend, neighbor or coworker who cares about our community. Our next milestone is 1,000 subscribers. Word of mouth remains one of the best ways to help us grow.
To make it fun, we're giving away prizes:
Top Referrer Prize: The person who refers the most new subscribers between now and Labor Day will win a $100 Visa gift card. Email me at kbergeron@branchherald.com by midnight on Sept. 8 with the names of those you've referred so we can verify names.
Subscriber Milestone Giveaway: Everyone who becomes subscriber numbers 801 through 1,000 will be entered into a drawing to win a $50 Visa gift card. We will email the winner directly to the email address subscribed, so make sure to confirm your email address and add info@branchherald.com into your contact list so you receive the message.
Share this article, this newsletter or the link for our newsletter signup form (also found at the top of our website) to refer your friends and neighbors to our newsletter link. Ask your friend to make sure they confirm their email address. Only email addresses who have confirmed their subscriptions will be eligible for prizes.
We are reader-supported, not corporate owned, and every member helps keep local journalism alive in our community.
If you're already a regular reader and would like to do even more, please consider becoming a member. Membership support helps fund the reporting, public records requests, community conversations and local coverage that keep our readers informed. Every membership, no matter the size, helps strengthen independent local journalism in Metrocrest.
Thank you for being part of this journey. We couldn't do this without you.
