Branch Herald launched a new website with updated features on Friday, July 26.

The new site offers multiple solutions to help the Farmers Branch community communicate and educate itself about what is happening in the city. In addition to announcements such as obituaries, births, weddings, anniversaries and birthdays, Branch Herald will offer a business directory, a restaurant directory and classified ads, which will include a section and map for garage sales.

“Our updated website is an opportunity to expand the ways in which we present the news in our community,” Erin Cooper, digital editor, said.

Designed and hosted by Creative Circle Media Solutions, which has helped redesign more than 650 publications and 350 websites, the development of the site has been in the works for several months.

New features will be rolled out in the coming weeks.

In addition to a new website, Branch Herald is adding Michael Driskill to its organization as director of advertising.

Driskill served as a member of the Farmers Branch City Council from 2020-2023, was a member of the Farmers Branch Planning and Zoning Commission from 2017-2020, and is an experienced investment professional and real estate agent and consultant.

“Michael has been the Branch Herald’s No. 1 superfan,” Publisher Kate Bergeron said. “He knows and is trusted by so many people in town. He brings a wealth of passion, history and business experience to the Branch Herald. We’re delighted to have him officially on the team.”
