What happens when Bavarian tradition meets Texas hospitality? You get Addison Oktoberfest, presented by Paulaner, a four-day celebration where the bier is cold, the brats are plentiful and “Prost!” usually ends with “Y’all!”

Returning to Addison Circle Park September 17–20, Addison Oktoberfest brings a taste of Munich to North Texas with German food, bier, live entertainment, family fun and a Texas twist all its own.

Come hungry. Festival favorites include bratwurst, schnitzel, strudel, giant pretzels and other Bavarian bites. Raise a stein of Paulaner Oktoberfest bier or head to the Texas Zwei Step area to discover Oktoberfest pours from Texas craft breweries.

Nearly 30 musicians and groups will keep the festival moving with traditional polka, Bavarian performances, party bands and Texas-influenced sounds. Guests can dance in the Partyhalle, explore the reimagined Party Zelt or test their skills with stein hoisting, bier barrel rolling and other Oktoberfest games.

Families can enjoy the Karneval, carousel, Kidsgarten, retro arcade, shopping and more. Then on Sunday, Release the Hunds! Sunday Hund Day, sponsored by Texans Credit Union, brings the Pet Parade and Dachshund Dash, where 100 determined dachshunds compete for the coveted Golden Dachshund.

The celebration starts Thursday, September 17, when general admission is free. Local businesses can kick off the weekend with Host & Prost Corporate Night in the Partyhalle, with reserved tables for up to eight guests featuring German food with Texas flair, Paulaner bier, commemorative steins, live music and networking.

Getting there is easier this year, too. Guests can ride the DART Silver Line to Addison Station, which borders the festival grounds.

And one lucky festivalgoer could take the celebration all the way to Germany. Guests can enter for a chance to win a trip for two to the 2027 Munich Oktoberfest.

Whether you come for the bier and brats, music and dancing, dachshunds or a great weekend with friends and family, Addison Oktoberfest serves up four days of Bavaria with a Texas-sized personality.

Addison Oktoberfest takes place September 17–20 at Addison Circle Park. Learn more, reserve a Host & Prost table and purchase tickets at AddisonOktoberfest.com. Prost, Y’all!
