Police Chief Chris Freis presented a Life Saving Award to Officer Tyler Dunn during the July 28 City Council meeting in recognition of his actions on May 16, 2026. Officer Sean Allen, who also received the award, was unable to attend due to an injury and will be recognized when he returns to duty.
On May 16, Officers Dunn and Allen responded to an unresponsive woman. When they arrived, they found she had no pulse and immediately began CPR. Over the next several minutes, they continued life-saving chest compressions until they successfully restored a pulse. Paramedics arrived shortly afterward and transported the woman to the hospital. Their quick actions and dedication saved a life.
